From Healing to Branding: Capturing Liz’s Holistic Practice in Phoenix, AZ
Earlier this summer, I had the opportunity to photograph Liz, a holistic practitioner based in Glendale, Arizona, for Heal.me. The goal of this session was to create professional headshots, lifestyle imagery, and photos of her treatment space. These kinds of high-quality visuals help practitioners better represent their services and connect with clients online.
Preparing for the Shoot
Every Heal.me session comes with specific guidelines:
4–5 professional headshots to highlight trust and personality
Lifestyle shots of the practitioner at work
Images of the treatment space to give clients a feel for the environment
Going into this session, I prepared my gear for both indoor and outdoor setups, tested lighting in advance, and structured the shot list to keep Liz comfortable and relaxed while still capturing everything we needed.
Capturing the Space
Liz’s treatment room was full of details that reflected her practice, from sacred objects to calming textures and vibrant accents. Photographing the space gives potential clients a sense of what it feels like to step inside and immediately feel at ease.
Personality and Presence
Great photography is not just about the services. It is also about the person behind them. Liz’s calm presence and warm personality came through naturally in every shot. Even her pup made a cameo, adding character and showing the welcoming atmosphere of her space.
