About Paul Tumpson
I’m Paul Tumpson, a professional photographer, videographer and editor based in Phoenix, Arizona. I create photography and video for businesses, brands, families, athletes and individuals throughout Phoenix and across Arizona.
My work spans corporate photography, professional headshots, automotive photography, sports, food, portraits, family sessions and commercial video production. Every project requires a different approach. A corporate shoot needs consistency and an understanding of the brand. Automotive auction photography requires careful documentation and attention to detail. Sports photography depends on anticipation and timing. Family and portrait sessions require direction that helps people feel comfortable and look natural.
Before building my career in photography and video, I served in the United States Air Force. That experience shaped the way I approach my work today: prepared, dependable, detail-oriented and able to adapt when a shoot does not go exactly as planned.
I’m also a father of two, which has influenced how I photograph people and meaningful moments. Whether I’m working with a company launching a new campaign, documenting a collector vehicle, photographing an athlete or capturing a family together, I want the finished images to feel intentional and have a purpose beyond simply looking good.
My goal is simple: understand what you need the content to accomplish, plan the shoot around that goal, and create photography or video you’ll actually be excited to use.
